How To Get Rid Of Frizzy Ends On Weave Hair

Rebehair: Although weave hair is sewn into our natural hair, it cannot receive natural oil or nutrition from the roots of natural hair. Even if you care for your hair weave as if it were your natural hair, your weave hair will become dry, frizzy and brittle. Now, you might be wondering: how to get the frizzy out of weave hair.

https://www.slideshare.net/rebehair/10-great-tips-to-care-for-hair-extensions-75345279

Use gentle product to wash your scalp and your weave hair every 7 to 14 days, for gentle products will not strip the hair of moisture.

If your weave gets really dry, you can try conditioner.

  • Wash as normal.
  •  Apply a thick layer of the conditioner to your hair.
  • Let this conditioner sit for at least 5 minutes.
  • Rinse hair thoroughly.
After washing, you can apply a smoothing serum to the weave, and then run straighteners through it to combat any frizz.
Use styling instruments like dryers or straighteners on low heat to reduce the amount of frizz in your weave. Do not use hot heat, for it will damage, burn and split your weave, and this damage cannot be undone until you have your weave replaced at the hairdresser.

How to Flawlessly Blend Your Weave

Rebehair: While we do offer a number of options for our customers to wear sew in hair weaves with little to no hair out such as closure pieces and lace frontals, some ladies prefer to leave a section of hair out for added versatility and a more realistic look.  With this option, unless your hair’s texture matches the extensions perfectly, some amount of blending will be required for a flawless installation.  Most ladies do not want weaves that are high maintenance so here are a few easy tips to help you blend your weave.

Twist or braid at night.

Nothing is worse than seeing the texture of your hair extensions lying beautifully against your head – with the waves and curls popping, only to have your natural hair sitting on top like a rat’s nest!  Try twisting or braiding your hair at night, intertwining your hair with the hair extensions so the two textures blend together seamlessly when you undo the twists the next morning.

Control fly-aways.

Virgin hair tends to frizz a bit in humidity, making the separation of your hair extensions and natural hair much more noticeable.  Try using silicone based glossifiers to help silken both textures and block humidity from causing frizz.  Also rub a bit of your edge product overtop of your leave out (lightly) to help your hair to lay nicely.

Keep it conditioned.

Whether speaking about your natural hair or your Perfect Locks hair extensions, both require regular maintenance and care to look their best.  Be sure to condition your natural hair to prevent dryness and breakage and the extensions to keep them soft and supple.  Hair that is in great condition looks great as well

Tame your edges!

Having a smooth, sleek hairline is like the icing on the cake to a great weave installation.  It gives your hair a polished and more professional appearance and can even help to conceal tracks placed around the perimeter of your head.  Edge slicking, controlling, and smoothing products are wildly popular these days so we suggest finding one that works well for you.

Try these tips and no one will be able to detect your hair from your extensions, leaving you with a perfectly blended weave!

With regular care and attention, you can ensure your extensions last as long as possible and stay looking healthy. So, if you want to learn how to best take care of your clip-in hair extensions, read on to discover all of our best care tips and tricks!

How Often Should you Wash Your Hair Extensions?

Hair extensions don’t need to be washed as much as our natural hair. The less you wash your extensions, the longer they will last you.

Whilst natural hair needs regular washing due to oil being produced from the scalp, hair extensions are not attached to our scalp and therefore do not endure the same oil build-up and only need washing when there is too much product in them. We find it is best to wash your hair extensions every 15-20 wears.

Bottom line is, how often you wash your extensions is mostly down to your personal routine, so it’s important you pay close attention on the quality of your extensions. If your extensions feel like they’re becoming increasingly difficult to style, this is a likely a sign that there is product build-up and they need to be washed.

How to Apply Hair Tracks for a Weave

https://www.behance.net/gallery/50494983/How-To-Choose-Best-Hair-Extensions

Hair weaves, hair extension, come in many styles. And, hair-weave track is a common as well as easier style. You can either sew your hair-weave tracks, or you can glue them.

-Cut the track to the desired width. Generally, the tracks should cover the area between left and right hairline in the back, and from the center part to the hairline on the sides.

-Make a part about 1 inch from the nape from left to right, starting in the back. Keep the upper hair away from this section and clip it.

-Smooth down the remaining hair on the nape of the neck, leaving a clean part to apply the tracks.

-Along the seam of the track, you can apply a thin bead of bonding glue, but you should not apply it directly to the head for it can run and mix with your hair.

-Place the track into the part on your head, press it firmly for about 30 seconds, and then use the blow dryer to set the bonding glue for 1 minute. Move the heated air along the top of the tack.

-Repeat this process until all of the tracks are in place. Smooth the natural hair down over the tracks as you go.

https://www.behance.net/rebehair
Rebehair: With hair weaves (created with human hair or synthetic fibers), people can easily change length, texture and style of their hair as they want. However, most of them don’t know how to take care of hair weaves. Here’s how to take care of Wet & Wavy weave textures to prevent them from becoming tangled.
  • Remove knots or tangles from your Wet & Wavy weave with your fingers or a wide tooth comb.
  • Use a high quality shampoo and conditioner to wash and condition weave every 7-14 days.
  • Blow-dry Wet & Wavy weave on a low heat setting. Alternatively, allow weave to air-dry completely.
